SEAL Systems announces a total turnover of almost 10 mio. Euro for the year 2009. The operating result has been halved. The business development had regional differences.
Particularly affected was the European business. The regular customers from the machinery and plant building industries were impacted by the economic crisis. This has influences on their investment behaviour. The company’s turnover decreased about 13 per cent.
The subsidiaries overseas could oppose this trend. The turnover setback in the U.S.A. is widely the result of changed and now enterprise-wide unique regulation processes and therefore an exceptional effect. The SEAL Systems Pty. in Melbourne runs business in the Asia/Pacific region. Here a significant increase was achieved.
Service business was running well, but license and new customer business was difficult.
Company speaker Reinhold Müller-Meernach comments this economic result: „The export oriented industries in Europe hold back IT investments more than in overseas. We expect that this trend will be continuing in 2010. Concerning products we made a big step at business printing an won some market shares. The integrations for SAP and Siemens PLM Teamcenter are on the market with new versions and extended functionality . With this SEAL Systems remains the number 1 for print, converion and publishing of documents.
Authorized representative and director of finance, Angela Strauß, takes stock: “We have adjusted our plans to the market behaviour in time. Through cost reducing measures SEAL Systems is furthermore very profitable without having to reduce the number of employees. The company has no need for foreign capital. With this we are stable condition and can look optimistical into the future.
