Document Output Center from SEAL Systems is introduced for the first time at the Siemens PLM Connection on May4 in Seeheim, Germany. The solution covers methods and processes for collection of documents from objects and structures in Teamcenter. With additional functions these document lists can be printed, electronically distributed and converted.
With this solution enterprises get methods to integrate Teamcenter-controlled files and documents into another or new business processes.
Long time formats for achiving can be generated from application data – even with extended status and version information as stamp or watermark.
From structures like bill of material or assembly linked documents are identified and afterwards printed or electronically sent as eMail or distributed via web portal. Also with this processes, all modern methods for reliable and evaluable document controlling are considered.
Additionally single documents, coming form stuctures, can be combined to a new complete documentation. At this process files, chapters and page structures are newly built.
Teamcenter user interface
All processes and methods for search, identification and collection of documents are implemented in Teamcenter. The users don’t have to leave the usual work environment. Templates for frequently used processes and the definition of pre-defined values make the configuration and the daily work easier. Output and results are stored for reuse and tracking
Conversion and print available as standard
Conversion services for TIFF to PDF are in the standard delivery package. Application converters for many further Office and CAD applications are optionally available. Conversion results are automatically stored in Teamcenter.
As well print services for TIFF and PDF files are included with the Windows standard functions. These services work without any further user actions in the background for single documents and complete document lists.
Interface for Output Management and Publishing
For extended print and distribution functions there are standard interfaces for the output management solutions PLOSSYS netdome and gXnetplot. Thus large format print, electronic distribution and extended document control is elegantly mapped into a worldwide network infrastructure.
If self-created documents and supplied papers have to be compiled to complete documentation for manuals, biddings and product information, then the Publishing interface helps. The Document Output Center contains an interface for DPF4Publish. This publishing solution from SEAL Systems has a wide range of functions and methods for generation of documentation for print and electronic distribution.
Document Output Center is available for Teamcenter Unified. The output management and publishing services can be used with Windows and Linux environments.
